Gretchen Goersmeyer

Gretchen Goersmeyer, age 70, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was born on April 30, 1955, to the late William Goersmeyer and Betty J. McQuillis.

Gretchen was a devoted sister to Christine (Robert) Haun, the late John (Marcia) Goersmeyer, Barbara (Gregory) Shaffer, and the late April Goersmeyer (Joe Skiba). She was a cherished aunt to eight nieces and nephews and sixteen great-nieces and nephews.

Gretchen found joy in life’s simple pleasures—bowling with friends, baking sweet treats for loved ones, admiring the beauty of butterflies, and delighting in a good game of bingo. Gretchen will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her warm heart, and the kindness she so freely shared with everyone she met.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
