Geraldine Harris passed away on June 17, 2023, in Cleveland, Ohio, at the age of 72. She was born on October 25, 1950, in Roba, Alabama, to William and Carrie Harris.
Geraldine was a woman of many accomplishments. She graduated from Shaw High School in East Cleveland in 1969, where she laid the foundation for a lifetime of learning and personal growth. Following her graduation, Geraldine embarked on a remarkable career at UH Cleveland Medical Center, where she worked tirelessly as a secretary for over 40 years. Her unwavering commitment and dedication to her profession touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark on the medical center.
Geraldine was a devoted mother to her two children, Jermaine L. Harris Sr. and Thomas Boyd III. Her grandchildren, Jermaine L. Harris Jr., Myia D. Boyd, and Serenity E. Boyd, brought immense joy to her life and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Throughout her life, Geraldine shared a special bond with her siblings. She was a loving sister to Carl Harris and shared countless memories with him. Sadly, her sister, Glenda Harris, departed from this world on the same day as Geraldine. The loss of two dear siblings on the same day is a profound tragedy that leaves family and friends with heavy hearts.
Geraldine and Glenda shared a special bond, rooted in their upbringing and the love they had for each other. While Geraldine's presence is deeply missed, the memories and moments they shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them.
Geraldine was known for her kind and nurturing nature, always putting the needs of others before her own. She had a warm and welcoming spirit that touched the lives of many. Her role as an aunt and great aunt was cherished by her nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 11 a.m. until time of Homegoing Service at 11:30 a.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111.
