Gerald was the cherished son of Wilma (nee Stinnet) and the late Dallas Hawkins. He will be deeply missed by his devoted family, including his dear siblings, Robert and Bryan Hawkins, and Robin Matthiesem, who shared countless memories filled with laughter and support. Gerald was predeceased by his brother, David Hawkins, whose absence remains a profound mark on the family's heart. He was also a treasured uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.

Throughout his life, Gerald embodied a spirit of kindness, often inspiring those around him with his positivity and compassion. His ability to connect with others brought joy not only to his family but also to his friends who regarded him as a source of strength and encouragement.
