Genoveva Gonzalez

Genoveva Gonzalez, age 80, passed away on July 24, 2026. Born on January 5, 1946, in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, she was the beloved daughter of the late Telesforo Melendez and Julia Adorno.

Genoveva was the cherished wife of the late Ramon Gonzalez and a devoted mother to Heriberto (Michele) Gonzalez, Jasmine (Rafael) Bonilla, and Raymond (Vilmary) Gonzalez. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Heriberto Gonzalez, Jr., Chelsea (née Gonzalez) Schroeder, Jaslyn Gonzalez, Joanna Rodriguez, Julianna Rodriguez, Alanis Gonzalez, and Joshua Gonzalez, and a treasured great-grandmother to Logan Gonzalez, Colton Schroeder, Arya, and Cohen Schroeder. She was also one of twelve siblings and a treasured aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.

Genoveva found great joy in her faith and loved attending church, where she found strength and fellowship. She had a beautiful spirit and a generous heart, always willing to help those in need. She enjoyed writing, singing, playing dominos with family and friends, and discovering hidden treasures while thrifting. Above all, Genoveva cherished the time she spent with her family, creating lasting memories filled with love, laughter, and kindness.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 10 a.m., at Riverside Cemetery 3607 Pearl Rd. Cleveland, OH 44109 (Please meet at cemetery gates by 9:45 a.m.).
