Gary Robert Bornancin

November 20, 1967 — March 23, 2026

Fairview Park, Ohio

Gary Bornancin, age 58, passed away peacefully on March 23 at 4:01 am. at the UH Seidman Cancer Center, following a courageous battle with Leukemia. He was surrounded by the care, love, and presence of his family every step of the way.

Gary was the beloved son of Elio and Marian Bornancin (deceased), and devoted brother to Dennis (Janet), Anthony (Lucy), David (Stefanie/deceased) and sister Mary Ann (Ed) Field (nee Bornancin). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. He shared a deep and lasting bond with his parents, spending many cherished evenings together filled with movies, conversations, and quiet moments that meant everything.

A skilled and dedicated auto mechanic for many years, Gary had a true passion for cars and motorcycles. His precision, organization, and pride in his work reflected both his character and the values instilled in him by his mother. Later in life, he continued his career as a Maintenance Engineer at the Aloft Hotel in North Olmsted, Ohio, where his reliability and craftsmanship remained evident.

Gary was a private man with a distinct personality—known for his sharp wit, strong sense of right and wrong, and his own unmistakable style. He enjoyed time spent with family, whether at dinners, gatherings, or on the open road. Some of the most treasured memories include traveling across the country on motorcycles, taking in the beauty of the landscape and simply enjoying life together.

He had an old-school approach to life that those close to him both respected and admired. Even in lighthearted debates, Gary’s mind was sharp, thoughtful, and grounded in conviction.

Gary was taken far too soon and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His presence, strength, and quiet loyalty leave a lasting mark on his family.

In accordance with Gary’s wishes, his body will be cremated and no funeral services will be held. A luncheon will be held for immediate family only on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, from 1 to 4 pm, at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center at 3556 West 130th St., Cleveland, OH 44111.
