Gabriel Reyes

Gabriel Reyes, born on May 2, 1944, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, transitioned peacefully from this life on May 25, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio. His remarkable journey spanned over eight decades, filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Gabriel was a devoted husband to Nereida Reyes with whom he shared an incredible 48 years of marriage, celebrating a bond that was evident to all who knew them. Together they cultivated a loving family, and Gabriel took immense pride in being the father to Gabriel (Denise), Brinelly, and Yeseida Reyes (Edgar Licea). As a grandfather, he found endless joy in his grandchildren, Alize and Neveah Reyes, and Gabriel Licea, whose lives he enriched with warmth and humor.

Gabriel's passions were as vibrant as his personality. He dedicated countless hours to bowling, reveling in the camaraderie of the lanes. His artistic soul flourished through painting and coloring, where he expressed his creativity with a palette that brought color to both canvases and lives around him. Gabriel also adored watching TV, always enjoying a good laugh, often punctuated by his knack for telling jokes that would light up the room. His musical talents emerged in his love for playing congas, a rhythm that resonated within his family and community.

He was loved deeply by his parents, Gabriel Reyes and Placida Caceres, and held a special place as a dear brother to six siblings. His role as a loving uncle further extended the circle of his affection, leaving a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center, 3556 West 130th Street, Cleveland, OH 44111, where Closing Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Gabriel’s legacy will live on through the love he shared, the laughter he spread, and the memories he created with each of us. He leaves behind a family who loved him dearly, who will carry his spirit in their hearts forever.
