Gabriel Terrance Brown was born on August 9th, 1965, in Maysville, Kentucky to Betty Hutchinson and the late Stanley E. White (Josephine).
Shortly after his birth he relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. He was educated at Cleveland Public Schools and attended Collinwood High School. He accepted Christ at a young age. It was at Mt. Esther Missionary Baptist Church that he found his love for Christ as well as his passion for boxing. He trained under the instruction of the late Theodore Davis and he became well known as a talented and respected amateur boxer. In addition to boxing, he was a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan and an avid reader.
He held various jobs over the years such as painting, airport porter, customer service, and retail.
Always the life of the party, Gabriel never met a stranger and had the biggest, most infectious smile. He had a gift of gab and was always full of jokes. He had a huge heart and was the protector of all whom he loved.
Gabriel was the beloved father of Latrice T. Avery (Davon), Ariel A. Brown (Brayden), and the cherished grandfather of Khalea Sanaa Avery, Davon Lanaire Avery, Jr., Lyla Jude, and Ivy Jeanne Auch. He was the dear brother of Aaron Brown, Nicole White, Jerome Turner, Jill Berry – Riley, and Holly Dunn (deceased), Desiree Johnson (Curtis), Reginald Brown, Cassandra Jones, and Sharlisa Hill. He will be remembered as a treasured uncle to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving chosen sister Darlene Davis and his honorary nephew and friend, Theodore Davis, and the loving nephew of Mary F. Daughterty.
Gabriel will be deeply missed by his family and all who loved him.
