Eufemia Ortiz

Eufemia Ortiz, age 87, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2024. She was born on June 3, 1937, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, to her loving parents, the late Isolina Vega and Ulpiano Vazquez. Eufemia was the beloved wife of Angel Ortiz and a devoted mother to Maggie Ortiz (deceased), Santos Ortiz, Zoraida Ortiz Gonzalez (deceased), and Jonathan Ortiz. She was a cherished grandmother to 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Eufemia was also a dear sister to Juan Carlos, Blanca Olga Vazquez, and is preceded in death by her siblings Alejandrina, Isolina, Celestino, and Celestina Vazquez. She was a treasured aunt to 5 nieces and 5 nephews. Eufemia found joy in Bible studies, crafting, and sewing. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. Interment Riverside Cemetery. A luncheon will be held immediately following the graveside service at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W 130th Cleveland, OH 44111. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made towards the funeral service.
