Ernie James Wild, Sr.
April 19, 1952 — February 7, 2020
Ernie James Wild Sr, 67 years old of Cleveland, Ohio passed away during the
morning of Friday, February 7, 2020 in the care of his younger son and daughter-
in-law, Bradley and Cassie Wild in Garfield Heights, Ohio. He was diagnosed with
cancer in September.
He was born on the Long Island of Holstein in Kingsport, Tennessee at home on
April 19, 1952 to Mary Charles Wild nee Smith and Ezra Jacob Wild. His family
moved to Cleveland, Ohio.
He served in the United States Army as a Clerk Typist during the Vietnam War.
He was best known for his carpentry skills and ability to repair just about
anything. He certainly was a self-made man. As a young man he owned a small
grocery store. He worked for Columbia Metal Stamping upon his discharge from the
Army and has even owned a pallet business with his wife Susan.
Ernie is survived by his siblings Charles, Ella, Evon, Thomas and Susan. He
was predeceased by Dana (David), Emilie, Edna, Elaine and Morris. He fathered three
amazing children; Ernie James Wild Jr., Sabrina Christina Wild Goble Stein and
Bradley Scott Wild.
He had many grandchildren and loved them dearly; Brittany Nicole McCune,
Bradley Scott Hozjian, Tyler James Wild, Carley Augustina Wild, Emily Maureen
Stein, Wesley David Stein, Tyler Owen Stein, Brooke Jaelyn Elaine Wild, Matthew
David McCune, Justin David Wasielewski and Katlin Rose Wasielewski.
Daughter-in-Laws were Cassie Ann Wild nee McCune and Samantha Lynn Wild nee
Rohland. Son-In-Law Jürgen Rudolf Georg Stein (deceased December 7, 2018).
He was an excellent friend, a dear father and loving husband. That is how he
will be fondly remembered. He is in our hearts and memories and will be missed
dearly.
He did not wish to have any memorial services.
