Ernestine Brooks

Ernestine Brooks (aka Ann), age 73, was called home on February 6, 2024. Born on December 21, 1950, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to the late Roosevelt Rivers and Florence Nevius. Cherished grandmother of the late Kevin Grant and dear sister to her late siblings, Brenda and Gregory Rivers. 

Ernestine accepted Christ at an early age and was known for her loving and philanthropic spirit. She enjoyed dancing, music, home decorating, playing bingo and being around her growing family. Being a firm believer in religion and education, Ernestine encouraged everyone around her to be the greatest version of themselves and will be truly missed. 

Ernestine is survived by her husband Leonard Brooks Jr.; children Ernest Rivers, Netanya and Leonard Brooks III; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and siblings Ernest, Nora, Stanley, and Charles Rivers and Wanye Simon.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
