Ernest L. Laird

Ernest L. Laird, age 83, passed away on February 15, 2024. Ernest was born on September 9, 1940, in Seth, West Virginia, to the late John and Doris (nee Donley) Laird.

Ernest was the beloved husband of Mary Laird, and together they shared a lifetime of love and companionship. He was the devoted father of the late John Laird (Joanne) and Monica Morrow (Jimmy). Ernest held a special place in the hearts of his grandchildren: Jessica (Denny), Jacob (Kylee), Jordan (Evan), and Joshua (Bryce), and he was the cherished great-grandfather of Denzil and Camden. Dear brother of the late Larry Laird.

Ernest lived a life defined by hard work and dedication. He spent his years as a committed worker at Ford Motor before retiring. His commitment to his family and his work left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, February 19, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
