Ellender Fields

Ellender (Jones) Fields, affectionately known as T-Gal, age 90, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on June 6, 2024, at her residence following a long illness. Born on July 5, 1933, in Hale County, Newbern, Alabama, she was the eldest of six children born to Anderson Jones Sr. and Ellender (Bennett) Jones.

Ellender is survived by her three daughters: Jean McCoy of Atlanta, Georgia, Denise R. Frierson, and Lisa M. Glasker (Johnny) of Cleveland, Ohio. She is also survived by her brother Anderson Jones Jr. of Lawrenceville, Georgia, her sisters Eddie M. Osborne and Lyda M. Boggs of Bessemer, Alabama, Fannie M. Summerour of Covington, Georgia, and her brother Alfred McMclin of Elyria, Ohio. Her legacy extends to nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, including three sets of twins spanning her grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anderson Jones Sr. and Ellender (Bennett) Jones, her daughter Teresa Fields, her son Aaron Jones, her grandsons De Mario Jones and Aaron Jones (Whistle), her granddaughter Charetta Frierson, and her great-great-granddaughter Alana Marie Fields.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 12 p.m. until time of Homegoing Service at 1 p.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a repass will be held immediately following Services.
