Eli Samuel Vega

Eli Samuel Vega, age 56, passed away on July 29, 2024. Born on April 30, 1968, in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, Eli was the beloved son of Wilson and Lydia Vega and a dear brother to Madelaine Vega. He was a devoted father to Jonathan and Angela Vega and a cherished grandfather to Tatiana and Isabella Vega. Eli was also a loving father-in-law to Monica Popi and a treasured uncle to Matthew Detzel. 

Eli enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as playing dominos, cheering for the Browns, cooking out with family and friends, and collecting memorabilia of his idol, Roberto Clemente. His warmth, love, and dedication to his family and hobbies will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
