Eleanor E. Taylor

In the loving memory of our mother, Eleanor E. Taylor, who passed away on September 29, 2023. She was the devoted wife of Robert N. Taylor and loving mother of Therese Taylor and Evelyn Taylor-Pierson and grandmother to Julian Taylor, Janelle Taylor, and Malcolm Taylor. She loved her family, history, and cats.

Eleanor graduated from Griswold HS and later attended Tri-C, studying accounting. She worked in accounting until her children were born. Later in life, mom ran the bingo and fundraisers for Cleveland Central Catholic HS in Cleveland, Ohio.

Our mother was a kind, caring and perceptive person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge with courage and dignity. Growing up, mom was always there for us, whether we needed help with our homework or just a shoulder to cry on. She had a deep understanding of human nature and was the sort of person people gravitated to and confided in. Not to mention a wicked sense of humor. Mom was a woman of spirituality and faith, and she instilled in us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. She was our role model and will be missed.

In addition to immediate family, her sister-in-law, Clarissa Taylors survives her, Clarissa's children and grandchildren, Derrick Roy Walker, her nephew, and deceased sisters in law Woodrina Moore and Marie Morris's children and grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m., at Blessed Trinity Church 14040 Puritas Ave. Cleveland, OH 44135. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 12:45 p.m., at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd. Seville, OH 44273. (please meet in lane by 12:30 p.m.)
