Edward Jay Hussing

August 18, 1962 — April 29, 2024

In a world filled with laughter and love, we mourn the unexpected loss of Edward Jay Hussing, who departed from us on April 29, 2024, in Brooklyn, Ohio. He was born on August 18, 1962, in Morgantown, West Virginia.

With a quick wit and a penchant for dad jokes, Edward brought joy to those around him with a great sense of humor. His charming personality and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Edward found immense pleasure in the simple joys of life. He was known for being a skilled pool player, often dazzling others with his prowess as a pool shark. Additionally, he enjoyed engaging in card games that brought people together and had a passion for fishing and riding motorcycles that allowed him to feel free and alive.

Edward leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by his surviving family and friends. He is survived by his beloved mother Linda (nee Pitman) Hussing; his children Shari Garra, Samantha Garra, Edward Zimmerman, Justin Zimmerman, and Sierra Hussing; his grandchildren Jack Garra, Nicholas Sampson Jr., Nikkole Sampson, and Bryce Sampson; as well as his siblings Carl Hussing III, Lily Miller, Frank Hussing, and Carl K. Hussing.

He is reunited with his father Carl Hussing, Jr. and his sister Mary Ann Hawk who preceded him in death.

Although Edward is no longer with us in person, his spirit lives on in the memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we bid farewell from a man taken from us too soon, may we find comfort in the laughter he brought into our lives and the love he bestowed upon us all.

Rest in peace, Dad. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. May your journey beyond be as vibrant and joyful as the life you lived amongst us.
