With heavy hearts, we share that Edward Lee Fleshman, "Eddie" (71) of Brook Park, Ohio, was welcomed to his heavenly home on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Strongsville, Ohio, at Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice, surrounded by loving family.
Edward was born on October 22, 1954, in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, to his parents, the late Basil Ray and Villa Louise (nee Welch) Fleshman. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. After serving his country, he would work for many years as a logger and heavy machine operator in the state of West Virginia.
He will be remembered for his big heart and for always wanting the best for everyone. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, music, and watching The Incredible Dr. Pol show. Edward loved spending time with family and the family pets.
Edward is survived by his longtime fiancée and loving companion, Brenda Jones; children, Tommy, Melinda (Daniel), Amanda (Mike), and Basil (Doris); grandchildren, David, Chris, Katelyn, James, Donny, Daniel, Rain, Alexi, Elijah, Marie, and Kayla; great-granddaughter, Poppy; as well as many other family and friends who will miss him dearly. Eddie was loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by parents, Basil and Villa Fleshman; wives, Kathy Fleshman and Sherry Simmons; three brothers, Paul, Benson, and Philip Fleshman; sister, Ethel Marie Fleshman, as well as many other deceased family and friends.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice for the wonderful care and the comfort that they gave. Angels truly do walk on earth.
