Drucilla Baker, a cherished and vibrant soul, was born on May 4, 1945, in Telledega, Alabama. She passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio. Her life was marked by active engagement, a love for travel, and the warmth she shared with family and friends.
Drucilla had a zest for life that shone through in her enjoyment of spending time with her family at gatherings, especially her grandchildren and her particular fondness for cruises, which allowed her to explore new horizons and create lasting memories. Always on the move, she embodied an active spirit, and among her simple pleasures was her preferred drink, Pepsi. She also delighted in following the drama and stories of her beloved soap opera, The Young and the Restless.
Born to M.L. Fowler, who lovingly adopted her, and Margaret Gibson, Drucilla’s early years were shaped by strong family ties. She was the devoted wife of the late William Baker, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship.
Drucilla’s legacy continues through her beloved children: Kathaleen Fowler, Cynthia Clark, and Kevin Clark. She was a special grandmother to Timothy Rouse, Jeremy Clark, and Drucilla Clark, and took great joy in her role as great-grandmother to Tyon Rouse, Trevon King, Couriana Denson, Amelia Clark, and Taj Rouse. Her warmth extended to her siblings, dear sister Jewel Fowler-Tomkins, Armenta, Rosemarie, step-sister Lottie, Eugene, and Nathaniel Fowler, all of whom, along with numerous nieces and nephews, cherished her dearly.
Those who knew Drucilla remember her as a loving and lively presence, someone who embraced life’s pleasures and nurtured close family bonds. Her memory will remain a beacon of love and vitality in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
Private Services were held. A dignified cremation was entrusted to Slone & Company.
