Douglas E. Adkins, Sr., age 78, passed away on November 2, 2026. He was born on February 15, 1948, in Widen, West Virginia, to his loving parents, the late Delbert E. and Irene (nee Linkous) Adkins.

Loving husband of Lois (nee Horn) Adkins. Beloved father of Norma, Wendy, Mary, Connie, Bunny, James, Douglas, Jr., Johnny, and Chris. Cherished grandfather of 25 and great-grandfather of 6. Dear brother of Debbie, Joyce (deceased), Nancy, Pamela (deceased), Sharleen (deceased), Delbert, Jr., and Daniel (deceased). Treasured uncle to 21 nieces and nephews.

Douglas enjoyed playing video games, watching NASCAR, and spending time working on cars and lawnmowers. He found enjoyment in keeping busy with his favorite hobbies and will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 1 p.m., at Riverside Cemetery 3607 Pearl Rd. Cleveland, OH 44109 (please meet at cemetery gates by 12:45 p.m.).
