Donarae Horwitz

Donarae Horwitz, age 68, died peacefully at the Glick Center of Metro Hospital of Cleveland on Oct 29, 2025. Donarae was a retired restaurant/bar owner of thirty years in Cleveland, where she was well-known for her engaging smile, her playful nature, and her unwavering love for the Steelers! Sharing her time between Cleveland, Ohio and Leesburg, Florida, she put her talent and love for cooking to provide countless meals for various veterans’ organizations and pet charities. Her generosity for those in need was remarkable. Donarae is the daughter of Angela and Alden Horwitz, both deceased. Her surviving siblings are David and Dino Horwitz of Florida, and Dennis (Vonna) Horwitz and Debbie (Joseph) Lettrich of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews David and Gina Horwitz of Florida, and Danielle Bigante, Michelle Horwitz, Lauren Horwitz, and Joseph Lettrich of Pennsylvania. Her nephew Michael Lettrich of Pennsylvania preceded her in death. She is also survived by her grand nieces and nephews Joseph, Dominic, and Isabelle Lettrich, Marissa and Julia Bigante of Pennsylvania, and Aviella Horwitz of Florida. 

It was Donarae’s wish to have an outdoor celebration of her life. Her life-long friends Kathie Filkins of Leesburg, Florida and Marcia Miner of Cleveland are making plans for future events in the two cities to honor their dear friend.
