Donald Lopresto, age 66, passed away on January 9, 2026. He was born on January 17, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Herman F. Lopresto and his devoted mother, Dessie M. Lopresto, whose love, care, and guidance shaped his life in lasting ways.
Donald was a devoted father to Joshua Lopresto, the late Brandon Lopresto, and Teddy Pierce, and a proud and loving grandfather to Teddy Pierce, Jr. (LT). He was a dear brother to Karen (née Lopresto) Rea, Ronald Lopresto, Jon Lopresto, Robin Decker, and Mark Lopresto, and a cherished uncle to Ron Lopresto, Jr., Adam Lopresto, Craig Lopresto, Lisa Rea, Jennifer Rea, and Bryan Rea.
A UAW retiree of the Ford Motor Company, Donald found joy in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed tinkering with cars, playing pinball and cornhole, kayaking, and taking his beloved VW Bus to the lake to watch the sunrise and sunset. He loved the Florida sun and beaches—especially St. Augustine and Siesta Key—and often looked forward to road trips south. He was deeply grateful for the companionship, care, and friendship of his close family friend, Nora, throughout his later years.
Most of all, Donald cherished time spent with his grandson, nieces, and nephews, whether taking them out to eat, attending sporting events, or simply being present in their lives as a loving and devoted great-uncle.
Donald will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, and the steady way he showed up for those he loved. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the memories he created, and the many lives he touched simply by being himself. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
