Darnell Wells

Darnell Wells, a beloved member of his family and community, passed away on January 8, 2026, in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Born on August 10, 1959, Darnell was cherished not only for his unwavering devotion to his loved ones but also for the vibrant spirit he brought into every room.

As an avid pool player, Darnell often enjoyed lively games with friends and family, showcasing both his competitive edge and his jovial nature. He was also known for his love of singing and frequently brought joy to gatherings with his heartfelt performances. A dedicated participant in Bible study, Darnell found solace and community in his faith, which guided him throughout his life.

Beyond his hobbies, Darnell was regarded as the comedian of the family, known for his quick wit and humor that had an unparalleled ability to defuse tense situations. His dependability and kindness made him a trustworthy figure in the lives of those who knew him. Darnell's loving heart truly held a special place in the hearts of his family and friends.

Darnell is survived by his siblings: Brenda Lee Simpson, Doris Laveina Menefer, Randolph Horsey, Sandra Green, Leona Stephens, Leon Wells, and Regina Wells. He was also a proud uncle to 21 nieces and nephews, each carrying forward a piece of his legacy.

He now joins his late brother, Howard Horsey, Jr., in eternal rest. Darnell Wells will be profoundly missed, but his memory will continue to live on through the stories shared and the laughter that echoes in the hearts of those who loved him.
