Daris R. Johnson, Jr.

Daris R. Johnson Jr., age 60, passed away on February 23, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on May 20, 1965, in Monticello, Indiana, to his loving parents, the late Daris R. Johnson Sr. and Brenda (nee Lunsford) Johnson.

He was the beloved father of Douglas Gump (deceased), Kayla (Jason) Jogan, Andrew Johnson, Daris Johnson, and Joseph (Brianna) Johnson, and a devoted stepfather to Barry Rutherford, Sheryl Tucker, Richard Tucker, Kristina Tucker, and Kevin Tucker. Cherished grandfather of Kaydance (Tyson) Schuller, Brayden Zart, Aliceann Jogan, Easton Jogan, Evelyn Johnson, Gavin Johnson, Kai Johnson, and Jeredin Kerr. Dear brother of Billy (Deceased), Rebecca (deceased), Bobby Jo (deceased),  Brian, Melissa, and Matthew. Daris was also a treasured uncle to many. Daris was previously married to Jo Ann (nee Johnson) Wulff, Carla Johnson, and Endora Trimble.

Daris had a natural gift for fixing just about anything — if it was broken, he would find a way to make it work again. From appliances and cars to watches, he loved tinkering and figuring things out. He took great pride in rehabbing houses and especially enjoyed fishing with his family. While he loved his children deeply, his grandbabies truly had his whole heart.
