Clarence Stanton Sifers, age 82, passed away on February 9, 2022. He was born on September 4, 1939, to the late William Autie Sifers and Velma (nee Young) Sifers.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kiska Lou (nee Pettry) Sifers; dear children, William Stanton Sifers, (Kristina), Sherry Lynn Coyle, (Darin), Randall Stanton Sifers, (Madonna); siblings, Autie Sifers, (deceased), Gaynell Layton (deceased), Louise Vohar (deceased) and Janice Brown; cherished grandchildren, Alexandra, Ashlee, Jonathan, Giuliano, Luke, Christopher and Joshua.
Stanton Sifers grew up in Edwight, West Virginia. A Marshfork High School 1957 graduate, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he lived his remaining years. He was a great family provider, retiring from LTV Steel after working there 38 years. Stanton loved fishing, hunting, football, white t-shirts and ballcaps, George Jones, Judge Judy, being outside in the sun, and conversations with his best buddies, JP, Arthur, and Richard. But most significantly, Stanton loved his family. He and Kiska were married for 59 years, and the life they built together in the two-story, red-brick home they shared for more than 50 years, resulted in children who greatly loved and respected their dad and grandchildren who adored their Papaw.
On Wednesday evening, February 9th, 2022, surrounded by his beloved family under his temporary earthly roof, Stanton was welcomed into his forever Heavenly home, because the light of Jesus broke through on Friday morning, January 28th, 2022. Hallelujah! The Light of God overcame the darkness!
Arrangements were entrusted to Slone & Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111.
