Clara J. Huff

Clara Jane Young-Huff peacefully departed this world on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the age of 92. She was born on November 28, 1930, in Pleasant Ridge, Kentucky. Clara was the cherished daughter of the late Herbert Medford Young and Rachel Jane Brannon-Young.

Clara accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Pleasant Point Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Ridge. Later she became a member of Fifth Christian Church where she was Deaconess.

Throughout her remarkable life, she pursued a diverse array of careers. She was a store owner, technical legal assistant, insurance agent, and real estate agent. She retired from The State of Ohio Department of Health after 25 years.

Known for her vibrant spirit, in her leisure time, she enjoyed various pastimes including bowling, trying her luck at the casino, playing cards, crossword puzzles, showcasing her culinary skills through her delicious meals. She found immerse joy in having family gatherings, be it lively parties or heartwarming reunions where she reveled in the company of her loved ones. Mother Clara adored and supported her grandchildren in all their endeavors, and they brought her immeasurable happiness to her world.

Clara leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters; Donna Jane Owsley-Buggs (Cortland), Clarice Elaine Golden-Green, who were a source of pride and joy throughout her life; and continuing the legacy are six (6) grandchildren; Donora Buggs, Marcel Golden(Sonita), Cordelle Buggs, Rhondel Golden, Latrel Golden, Cory Buggs; ten (10) great grandchildren, Tierra Stevens, Christopher Golden, Terrel Golden, Cyre Buggs, Arionna Patterson, Jasmine Golden, Alannah Buggs, Paityn Herring, Jonathan Buggs, Amiyrah Buggs; four (4) great-great grandchildren, Damari’ye Stevens, Noah Love, Symiah Love and Adorah Love; loving brother, Charles Herbert Young Sr; sister-in-law, Lorraine Young and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Clara was proceeded in death by her husband, Clyde Huff; sisters, Mary Young-Solomon, Bertha Louise Young; brothers, William Young, Harry Young and James Robert Young.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. until time of Homegoing Service at 11:30 a.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111. Inurnment Highland Park Cemetery.
