Carol Anne Fradette

Carol Anne Fradettte, a very loyal person and a fierce defender of her family, friends and beliefs, passed away on April 14, 2023, in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. She was 79 years old.

She was born on May 21, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, to her parents, the late William and Katherine (nee Sherlock) Calvey.

A kind, loving and generous woman, Carol was the beloved mother of Margaret DiBernardo, Joseph J., Theresa (Eric, deceased), and Francis D.; loving grandmother of Matthew, Stephen, Kristen, Nathan, Daniel, Ryan, Iris, Jude and Evelyn; dear sister of John, Billy, Michael (Laurie) and the late Timothy Calvey (Patty). While she was a devoted mother and grandmother, she was also the ‘adoptive’ mother and grandma to many, many others. She was known for never turning anyone away and included anyone and everyone. Carefree, easy-going and friendly, Carol had many long-time friends.

Carol will be remembered by her family and friends as someone who loved to laugh and have fun, with a great sense of humor and was very witty. One who was adventurous, travelled and took long drives on sunny days. She enjoyed classic movies and going to the theater. A lover of horses, she once had a horse named Misty.

She spent many years at the Plain Dealer, worked in catering, and for the Parma City School System.

Carol was a devout Catholic and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. She loved to attend mass and prayed the rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet daily.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. & 6 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. Mass will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 10 a.m., at St. Bartholomew Church 14865 Bagley Rd. Middleburg Hts. OH 44130. (Please meet at Church). Inurnment Calvary Cemetery.
