Carol Armour

January 6, 1940 — May 29, 2026

Parma, Ohio

Carol Armour, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026. She was born on January 6, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, to her loving parents, the late Art and Ann (née Simko) Simek.

Cherished wife of the late Charles Armour for 63 years. Loving mother of Scott Armour (Betsy) and Jeff Armour (Jill); dear grandmother of Leah, Brooke, John, Katy, and Faith; Great-grandmother of Kira and Cosimo.

Carol had a fond interest in history and loved the art of language and the written word. She expressed that passion through her published column for the Brecksville Historical Society in the local newspaper. She enjoyed helping and teaching others and demonstrated that through her charitable work with children as an English teacher's aide, as well as by volunteering at Marymount Hospital.

Carol was not only funny, but she also adored a good joke. Her laugh and smile were contagious to everyone around her. There was no doubt, when you looked at her yard, that she had a deep passion for gardening. She thoroughly enjoyed entertaining and feeding her family and friends. We all loved her delightful ability to cook and bake, which made everyone excited for holiday celebrations. Not to mention, she was well known for spoiling her grandchildren with candy and sweet treats.

Most importantly, she happily dedicated her life to Charles. They were the definition of soulmates, and their 63 years of loving marriage proved it. Carol will be truly missed and will always remain in our hearts. She may now rest in peace after being reunited with Charles in heaven.
