Carmelo Delgado

Carmelo Delgado, age 87, passed away on February 8, 2026. He was born on June 25, 1938, in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, to his loving parents, the late Justino Delgado and Ramona Rivera.

Carmelo was the beloved husband of Carmen M. Delgado; devoted father of Maria D. Delgado-Garcia, Maria D. Delgado-Coffgen, Carmelo Delgado, Jr., Rene J. Delgado, Marcos A. Delgado, Alejandro Delgado, Antonio Ramos-Delgado, Marisol Delgado, and Yahaira Delgado; and cherished grandfather of Vicky Garcia, Anya Garcia-Kaulesar, Victor Garcia, Jr., Elisa Toro, Adriana Toro, Marcus A. Delgado, Jessica N. Delgado, Amanda M. Delgado, Anthony C. Delgado, Gadier E. Figueroa, Jr., Solmari J. Figueroa, Adanalyse, Elliot, and Felicity. He was also a proud great-grandfather of Isaiah D. Severino, Azariah Cruz, Dana E. Roman, Aurora Kaulesar, Dorian Kaulesar, Sophia M. Ballesteros, Avery Segarra, Dennis E. Ayers, III, Elena F. Delgado, Mike Delgado, Kameron Delgado, Payson Kincaid, and Emberleigh Kincaid.

He was a dear brother of Ramon, Juan, and Juana Delgado, as well as a treasured uncle and friend to many. Carmelo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Riverside Cemetery 3607 Pearl Rd. Cleveland, OH 44109 (please meet at cemetery gates by 10:45 a.m.).
