Brinard T. Darrington

Brinard Tyron Darrington, age 75, passed away on March 15, 2026. He was born on September 4, 1950, in Choctaw Bluff, Alabama, to his loving mother, Thelma (nee Darrington) Randle, and the late David Sims.

Brinard was the beloved husband of the late Sharon Ann (nee Coleman) Darrington. He was a devoted father to Brinard Frierson, Sadaya H. Lewis, Shawna M. Gurley, David B. Darrington, Andrea A. Darrington, and Jayon T. Lewis, and a caring stepfather to Clarence Semple and Jermaine Scott. He was a cherished grandfather to William Lewis, Randal Lewis, Kenneth Scott, Londyn Lewis, and Amancia Martinez. Brinard was a loving brother and treasured uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, and a devoted friend to Andrea Francis and Krystel Johnson.

Brinard was a proud retiree of Ford. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed fishing, playing chess, golfing, playing and studying the lottery, and was always happiest when building or working on things with his hands. Brinard’s favorite song was “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” a message he truly embraced and lived by every day. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. Interment Choctaw Bluff, Alabama.
