Brenda Sue Johnson

Brenda Sue Johnson, age 77, passed away on October 14, 2025. She was born on October 24, 1947, in Lewisburg, West Virginia, to her loving parents, the late Charles Todd Lunsford and Roxie (nee Dennison) Lunsford.

Beloved wife of the late Daris R. Johnson. Devoted mother of Daris R. Johnson, Jr., Rebecca I. Johnson (deceased), Bobbie J. Johnson (deceased), Brian K. Johnson, Melissa S. Bazile, Matthew C. Johnson, and Billy Johnson (deceased). Cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many. Dear sister of Charles “Harv” Lunsford, Michael “Wig” Lunsford, Scotty “Buck” Lunsford, David McCumbers, Debbie Hopkins, John Lunsford, and Annie Lipps. Treasured aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.

Brenda enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures — crafting, gaming, crocheting, knitting, cooking, working on puzzles, playing cards, tending to her garden, and most of all, spending time with her family. She had a heart of pure gold and lived her life with unwavering selflessness and faith. A devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, Brenda was the glue that held her family together — always offering love, guidance, and comfort to those around her. She embodied the warmth, strength, and spirit of a true West Virginian woman, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience that will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. Interment West Park Cemetery.
