Betty Lou Buchanan-Cyrus

Betty Lou Buchanan-Cyrus, age 97, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026. She was born on April 17, 1929, in Pricedale, Pennsylvania, to her loving parents, the late Villa Duvuvuei and Phoebe Scanlon.

Betty was the beloved wife of her first husband, the late Robert R. Buchanan, and her second husband, the late Edward Cyrus. She was a devoted mother to Robert Steven (Dianne) Buchanan and Robin Etta (Rudy) Litto, and was preceded in death by her sons, Gordon Wayne Buchanan and Scott Craig (Luanne) Buchanan.

She was the cherished grandmother of Stephen Buchanan, Rudy J. Litto (deceased), Danielle R. Outrich, Ryan R. Dressler, and Vivian K. Buchanan, and a proud great-grandmother of six. Betty was also a dear sister and treasured aunt to a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Betty will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, and the kindness she shared with those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 12 p.m. until time of Service at 2 p.m., at Freedom Church 12401 Cooley Ave, Cleveland, OH 44111.
