Beatrice S. Mankowski, age 85, passed away on November 20, 2025. She was born on April 5, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, to her loving parents, the late Philip and Rae (nee Rosenburg) Frank. She was the beloved wife for more than 20 years of the late James Mankowski and the devoted mother of Debbie Mankowski and Jim (Debbie) Mankowski. She was the cherished grandmother of the late Carlin and Leeann and the dear sister of the late Eddie Frank, Maureen (Don) Pavlik, Robert (June) Frank, and Iris Frank.
Beatrice was known for her warm heart, her steadfast routines, and the many simple joys that made up her days. She enjoyed playing bingo, never missed an episode of General Hospital since she began watching in 1968, and loved reminiscing about the old neighborhood at Belden and W. 123rd. In recent years, she spent countless hours working on jigsaw puzzles, solitaire, and games on her phone.
For many years, Beatrice was the beloved “lunch lady” at McKinley Elementary, where she was adored by generations of students who remembered her kindness and friendly smile. She also had a deep affection for her cat, Gracie, who brought her great comfort and companionship.
Beatrice will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.
