Barbara Sims

Barbara Sims, age 80, passed away on December 23, 2021.  She was born on September 22, 1941, in Princeton, West Virginia to the late Harry Hines and Bernice D. (nee Crockett) Hines.

She is survived by her husband, Alfonzo Sims; children, Alfonzo Sims, Jr. (deceased), Michael Sims, Anthony Sims; siblings, Elfredia Hines (deceased), Harry Hines, Jr. (deceased), Tony Hines, (deceased), Layton Hines, John Gordon, Jr., William Gordan (deceased) and Sandra Folsom (deceased); cherished grandchildren, Marcus Sims, Anthony Sims, Jr.,  Nicole Sims, Lachell Bender, Alena Bender, Harlan Page, Al’Leshia Page, Aljawon Sims and Alliyah Sims; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing, shopping, and hosting caberet parties. Barbara was a member of the Eastern Star Society. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Slone & Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111.
