Allan E. Sprosty Jr.

Allan E. Sprosty Jr. died peacefully in his Westlake, Ohio home after a courageous fight with brain cancer on Sunday, April 8th, 2018 at the age of 69. Allan is survived by his wife, Kelley (Wyman) Sprosty, four children: Jenniffer Schilens (Daniel), Jaklyn Severance (John), Matthew Sprosty (Rachel), Kira Rankin (Randy); five grandchildren; brother Rob Sprosty and sister Leslie Ballog. Mr. Sprosty was born on 8/24/1948 in Columbus, Ohio to Allan E. "Bud" Sprosty Sr. and Donna Mae (Leslie) Sprosty. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Denison University in 1970. Mr. Sprosty worked at the family business, General Bag Corporation, eventually co-owning it with his brother Rob Sprosty, from 1971 until 2007. An avid dart player, golfer and bowler, Allan was a member of the Cleveland Athletic Club and Westwood Country Club. Mr. Sprosty was a Cleveland enthusiast, who enjoyed the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame, Playhouse Square, and all of the major sports franchises. Family and friends are welcome at Slone & Co.
