Alfred Fenderson was born on October 1st, 1946, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to Henry and Lola Fenderson. He passed away peacefully on August 22nd, by the side of his devoted and loving wife, Paletta Fenderson.
Alfred is preceded in death by his brother Henry W. Fenderson. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Ann Lawson; six children, Alfreda, Susan, Twana, Darnell, Daryl, and Sharon; his niece, Laurice; three nephews; and numerous beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In his childhood, Alfred was raised as a Methodist and as a young man with hopes and dreams. After high school, he enlisted in the Marines and served his country with honor during the Vietnam War, training at Camp Lejeune. In his later years, he relocated from Alabama to Cleveland, Ohio, where he met and married his current wife, Paletta, and supported her son, Quincy Foreman. He worked as an A/P Attendant at Ford Motors for an impressive 36 years, cherishing his union family he had built before retiring in 2006.
Alfred, a true socialite, left an indelible mark on his closest friends and family. Like his wife, he was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a word of advice whenever needed. His unwavering code of ethics guided him, and he possessed a heart of gold. Alfred found joy in various activities, including playing golf, working on cars, frequenting casinos, watching western and war movies, and spending lasting moments with his great-granddaughter, Alaiya.
Alfred has completed his journey here and has now found peace, welcomed into God’s eternal embrace. His memory will continue to guide and inspire his family for generations to come.
