Alexis Danielle Chaney

December 17, 1999 — August 13, 2023

Cleveland, Ohio

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alexis Danielle Chaney, a vibrant soul who touched the lives of all who knew her. Alexis, age 23, left this world on August 13, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Born on December 17, 1999, to her adoring parents, Dawn Nieves (Jason Nieves) and Mike Chaney (Cheryl Chaney), Alexis brought joy and happiness into their lives from the very beginning. She was a beloved stepdaughter of Jason Nieves, forming a bond that transcended mere family ties. In her journey of life, Alexis found her true love in Jacob Hennings, and the two became inseparable, sharing a deep and unbreakable connection as fiancés .

Alexis was a devoted sister to her siblings: Isaiah Nieves, Christopher Chaney, Kayla Chaney, Michael James Chaney, Brittany Chaney, Chailynn Chaney, Michael Jon Chaney Jr., and niece, Bella Chaney. She held a special place in the hearts of her family, weaving a tapestry of memories that will forever be cherished.

She was the cherished granddaughter of Barbara and Lance Nawal, and Maureen Nieves, embodying the essence of family and the bonds that tie generations together. Alexis was a niece of Tina and Lenny Vlasaty, James Clarke, and Jenny Nieves, bringing laughter and joy to family gatherings. Her cousin relationships with Joshua Clarke (Emily), Alec Clarke, Amanda Reed, and Katy Reed were a testament to the close-knit family bonds that she helped foster.

Alexis was a free spirit, with an adventurous soul that led her to explore and experience the wonders of the world around her. She had a passion for painting, creating breathtaking works of art that captured her unique perspective on life. An enthusiast of physical wellness, she found solace and strength in working out, a testament to her determination and resilience.

With a heart that beat to the rhythm of life, Alexis had a special fondness for movies, especially horror films that kept her on the edge of her seat. Her love for cinema was matched only by her love for her cherished pet, Bert, a faithful companion who brought her immeasurable joy.

A gifted singer, Alexis shared her melodic voice with the world, serenading those fortunate enough to hear her. Her notes carried emotions and sentiments that words alone could not express, touching the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of listening.

Though Alexis has left this earthly realm, her spirit will forever live on in the memories, stories, and laughter that she shared with her loved ones. Let us remember her with joy, celebrating the vibrant life she led and the love she gave to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
